Re: Taiwan "Han Kuang" Military Exercise

I personally think Taiwan is the least likely place to get invaded.

Apparently, most of world's politicians don't think so. Many have said that the Taiwan strait is one of most dangerous places in the world. It would be pretty hard to call a place "the least likely place to get invaded" when the small island gets over a thousand missiles aiming at it... Also, China's Nanjing military region's primary job is to plan for a potential invasion of Taiwan. So "the least likely place to get invaded" is facing close to a million troops whose main job is to think of ways to invade the place...

Thanks for the pics!

The mountain warfare bit is interesting. Wonder if this is the 1st time that it got featured in this series of annual exercises? Seems to me that the RoC military is planning to conduct guerilla operations from the mountains in the event that an invasion materialise and they are unable to hold off the invading force.

The Idea is the same as the colored arm bands they used too wear when war gaming just so the Blue can tell the red on sight and shoot. trouble is off course unless your fighting construction workers and blue man group chances are the real enemy will be harder too spot and not wear bight things that give them away so easy on the field. even the UCP they are wearing stands out.

Neither. The exercise held had the blue forces and the red forces. Hence the red cover on the helmet.

How come I don't see any male soldiers wearing pink helmets? I would be thoroughly convinced if I can be shown some photos of male Taiwanese soldiers wearing the same kind of helmets...
