I wonder how large these missiles are and if they are in any way comparable to the Chinese YJ-91. Seems to me that they might be a bit larger than the 91, although definitely not YJ-12-sized.

This also raises the question of why there are no air-launched variants of the YJ-12 that could be carried by fighters. Having fighters as your AShM platform dramatically increases their survivability and complicates the enemy's defense strategy. The JH-7B could carry up to two YJ-12s but that project has been axed. Come to think of it, the PLAAF/PLANAF currently has no fighter-borne supersonic AShMs in its inventory. Even the HD-1 missile system has been offered to Pakistan and Egypt for use on their fighters.

This missile, along with the Yun Feng, Wang Chien, and (to a lesser extent) the HF-IIE, represent the biggest threat to the success of a Taiwan operation and possibly to Chinese assets in mainland China itself.

It looks suspiciously similar to YJ-12.
The HF-III is believed to be developed from a US target drone (not the Coyote), the name of which is slipping my memory. Form follows function.

Nonetheless, those are the ideal tools to be used in first-strike scenario, and best used to force Beijing to finally get it over and done with.

The Guardian reported that the Taiwanese government plans to turn 13,000 convenience stores across the island into wartime hubs. The Presidential Office stated today (13th) that while a committee member raised this suggestion during a discussion at the National Defense Resilience Committee, there is no concrete plan as reported by the media. Wang Hung-wei, the KMT caucus secretary-general, said the government currently treats the locations of civilian supplies as top secret. However, even KMT legislator Weng Hsiao-ling could not get any details when she inquired, yet foreign media somehow found out first. Weng Hsiao-ling called on Premier Cho Jung-tai to immediately investigate who leaked the information.
