Care to enlighten us why then?
The ROC government needs to put up the charade that they can repel the PLA attack. The story used to be “拒敌于彼岸” (repel enemy from the shores) which has been a fantasy for many years. It got changed to urban fighting (resist long enough for American and Japs intervention). Again, another fantasy. PLA isn't gonna get involved in urban fighting.

You don't need much training to occasionally pop out of a window and shoot an RPG. Or run towards a tank and lob a grenade like how hamas does it in Gaza.
Have you seen videos of a moron firing an RPG with someone right behind him? The poor victim's head got blown off his torso. They are more of a danger to themselves and people around them.

Infantry actually require adequate training to have the courage to face armored vehicles. Moreover, Taiwanese reserve do not even have enough RPG training. At most, they can review the operation procedures, no live firing

Actually, Taiwan military dont even have enough RPGs for active service unit. They only have about 45,000 rounds of RPG, mainly 30,000 rounds of M72 and less than 15,000 rounds of Red Falcon, with a penetration of less than 300mm RHA

The Ham Kuang exercises aren’t just all propaganda, I’m sure a lot are especially when shown to the media but some parts also aren’t, to say it’s all propaganda is just wrong.

Han Kuang 41 is effectively a marketing exercise for convincing

that the regime governing Taiwan is willing and prepared to resist the PLA:
A delegation of retired high-ranking U.S. military officers recently arrived in Taiwan to observe the live-fire phase of the annual Han Kuang drills, which began on Wednesday and will run for 10 days, the report said, citing a source familiar with the matter.
Among the visitors was Flynn, who served as commander of the U.S. Army Pacific command from 2021 to 2024, the Saturday report read.

The ultimate goal of this complicated and expensive sales presentation is to convince the broader American national security establishment, as well as Congress and Trump that the regime governing Taiwan is worthy of preservation by American blood and treasure, as in immediate and direct US military intervention should the PLA pursue armed reunification.

However, do you see any USAF B-2 bombers or USN Burke destroyers participating in Han Kuang 41? The answer is

Without significant and impactful DoD participation in this exercise, this isn't going to translate into training for any sort of plausible victory or even an expression of US commitment to militarily defend Taiwan.

Han Kuang 41 is literally a sales pitch attempting to persuade Uncle Sam that Taiwan is "worth saving" despite the sitting SecDef's significant and vocal doubts concerning America's ability to fight China:

Han Kuang is definitely used for propaganda and to convince America to help but it also does gives you insights into how Taiwan doesn’t show training to an extent and what they think is the most important areas to defend.

Infantry need either discipline or conviction to face armored vehicles. Modern day ROC infantry have neither. Hamas fighters may not have formal training, but they have the conviction to run up to an Israeli tank and toss a bundle of grenades underneath it. The forefathers of the ROC military destroyed Japanese tanks by strapping grenades to their own bodies. How they would turn in their graves if they saw how the modern ROC turned into Japanese and Western worshipping cucks.

Reasonably certain the PLA already has a great deal of fidelity on how military forces local to Taiwan will manage and prioritize defensive efforts.

There really isn't much, if anything for them to conceal or obfuscate.

The PLA almost certainly possess multiple classified adversarial CONPLANs for a multitude of potential cross strait scenarios. More likely than not multiple planners drafting such CONPLANs are on the PLA and/or MSS' payroll, given the

of Chinese HUMINT penetration on the island of Taiwan.

This is in addition to a highly sophisticated set of national technical collection capabilities that are only approximated, rivaled or exceeded by one other nation state, depending on discipline. On top of that rest magazine depths and military industrial capacity that are to a significant extent globally unrivaled.

Besides tucking away certain big ticket items into

— where they might be preserved, but also where they will likely find themselves non-deployable — any and all military assets exposed or exposed enough are going to get decimated by just about any and every sort of conventional munition imaginable.

Absent direct and immediate US military intervention, DPP led resistance against the PLA will be futile.

Lai Chingte's personal security detail would not stay this observably close to him as he inspect and observe military maneuvers — during the ongoing Han Kuang 41 exercise in Taiwan — unless they had cause to be wary of "insider threats."

A commander-in-chief who is not able to trust his own troops — especially an elite formation that was certainly hand picked for such a photo op — will not last long or necessarily even survive should conflict erupt against an overwhelmingly superior force like the PLA, especially in the absence of immediate intervention by the 7th Fleet.

In comparison, President Trump felt no need to be surrounded by the USSS while visiting troops in Iraq:

Trump even felt safe mingling and dining with ethnic minority members of the US military while visiting Bagram Airfield in Afghanistan in 2019:

Likewise, General Secretary Xi needed no bodyguards in Inner Mongolia while visiting PLA troops:

The contrast is stark and visible: the DPP political leadership clearly distrust "their own" ROC servicemen, which will reverberate by cultivating the rank and file's cynicism of the dubious political bigwigs.

Reasonable people typically won't want to lay down their lives for politicians who refuse to trust them.

That’s because the ROC military has a long and illustrious history of coups against the ruling leader.
