darth sidious and MIGleader both of you cool it down, this disscussion is already getting heated up and might turn to a flame war..
And personally I don't think any of you here know (and me and everyone else on the forum) the true state of the J-XX, SO STOP MAKING BSES AND STICK TO FACTS!!!

F-22 is invisible to radar.

Those are just the unclassified data.

One of the main reason the F-22 is "invisible" to radar is the extensive use of non-conducting composite materials applied to the aircraft. The type of composite materials commonly used to built aircraft structures is graphite.

At any well-stocked sporting goods stores, one can visit tennis rackets section and see a number of variety of rackets displayed. Many of those tennis rackets are made of graphite composite just like the kind used on modern aircraft construction. Those rackets are "stealthy" as well since they don't reflect radar waves. If one look at the arm or handle bottom of those rackets, it will most likely say Made in China. So at least the Chinese can manufactured "stealthy" tennis rackets. Maybe China can armed Russian tennis player Maria Sharapova with one of those graphite composite rackets making her a "stealthy" player. :coffee:

that was a good one, cooleino!!!
none of us here know the state of j-xx, but theres nothing preventing us from making educated guesses, rather than saying "china cant do it simply because chairman hu doesnt come to my door and reveal classified j-xx information".

i beilieve the j-xxs greatest influence will be the f-22, and china will do its best to mirror as many of the fighters advanced features. this will be a project that deviates almost entirely from russian influence. insteadm the technology base will be soley indegedous technology, gained from the j-10 project.

the whole plane will be made in seperate parts, the engine, weapons, and radar will all be seperately designed, and then fitted on a stealthy airframe.

i am refering to a picture of a wind tunnel model on what appears to be CCTV. it was posted in some thread.

it shows a plane that has distinct chinese design, a long narrow fuelage that reduces the disadvantages of not having engine as powerful as american ones. the plane still seem quite focus on aerodynamic than stealth. it does look better than existing 2 engine planes tho.

it reminds me of Type98, still relieving on old strength while adding limited number of new concept. it create good hardware, just not amazing.

the F-22 isn't gonna be the mainstream fighter, but the elite. while Sukhoi is very much cheap enough to replacing and operate as mainstream fighters. Sukhoi are getting good business in ASEAN, recently in the form of millions of chicken.

they are still good sellers.

can you imagine how many Chickens thailand would have to sell to buy a F-22? lol, seriously, this idea of chicken/rice/plywood for fighters is quite amusing.
