Ray Park returning to play Darth Maul in motion capture for the ending of Star Wars The Clone Wars. That was a spectacular light saber duel probably the best one including the live action movies and still two episodes left.


That's the difference between storytelling of JJ Abrams and Dave Filoni. You have Darth Maul, Ashoka Tano, an army of Republic clones on Mandalore hours before Order 66 is implemented. You want viewers jumping ahead filled with anticipation trying to figure out all the possibilities. If they guess right, they feel good that they figured out a complicated scenario. If they guess wrong, all the more better it wasn't predictable. JJ Abrams just drags the viewer through his movie scene to scene. Very little anticipation.

I don't know if anyone of you follows the Star Trek: Picard TV show in CBS All Access. At the end of the series, they introduced the USS Zheng He, which at that moment was commanded by Captain Ryker and is Star Fleet's latest and most advanced vessel, according to Ryker.

In March Patrick Stewart was advertising that because everyone was on a stay-at-home order, CBS All Access was giving a free month to everyone so they could watch the entire season of Picard and everything else in there. I was looking to subscribe so I can watch Picard. I never saw where you could type in the free month code so I bailed on trying. Then I checked the internet to see if anyone else had that problem and people were posting the whole free month was a lie. They went further than I did and also mentioned there was no place to enter the free month code and ended up getting charged for the first month.

The USS Zheng He is an Inquiry class cruiser starship. Don’t expect her to hang around. Riker (no Y in his name) states he is in temporary command. They don’t even build a Bridge set. They redressed the Bridge of the Discovery. Heck each of the ships in the scene in the last episode are cut and paste without even names and registration numbers. It kinda ticked some fans off.

Some new announcement. Taika Waititi to direct a new Star Wars movie.

The working title for a secret Star Trek project might be Star Trek: Strange New Worlds.

Strange new world was the title of a book anthology of Star Trek Fan short stories from 2006-2016. An interesting choice of title.

The Disney Star Wars movies are just god awful (except Rogue One). Glad Waititi is taking the helm

Temuera Morrison to reprise the role of Boba Fett in the second season of the Mandalorian.

That would be Jango Fett. He could play him because Boba was his clone son but it's not a return to playing the role.
