Yes...definitely one of, if not the most capable SSKs out there, and with its nuclear deterrent capability...definitely the most powerful SSK on the planet.

Curious! Its neither a "+" tail or "x" tail! Its actuall both! Jeff, whats the advantage of that arrangement?

The X is so the vertical fin is not needed to stick well below the bottom of the vessel, so the vessel can actually "bottom out" without potentially damaging it.

The Dplhin does not have the lower vertical fin, so it can take full advantage of the "X", but it soe have the upper and side fins, which probably gives it some maneuverability advantages and capabilities over the ther two operating on their own.
