Glad they both exercised real skill and effort trying to win and kept it classy. I was not a fan of people booing Mayweather at all. I think he did hold back a bit towards the end but I see that as professional respect for a fellow athlete doing their best. These are 21st century already accomplished boxers, not ancient gladiators. The fundamentals are a tad skewed, size matters with the 4 inch reach difference. "A good big guy will always beat a good little guy."

I'm glad that Harris County is looking to the Germans for some advice on what to do with the current Astrodome sports stadium that sits vacant.

...The new proposal calls for creating an indoor park within the stadium, with spaces for exercise and biking trails and indoor rock climbing, as well as new underground parking. The outside areas would be converted into tree-lined green spaces.

Okay, now for the REALLY important sports news.

One of my grandsons played in a League Football playoff tournament this weekend.

Now THAT's what I am talking about.

They won the 1st game, advanced to the quarter finals that afternoon, and then lost that game. Their season is over, but as a proud Papa, I still have to crow a little.

I thought they were going to demolish it... They tore down some beams last year. I have some fond memories of the Dome, having watched many Astros games there. While we are on that note, the Astros are doing well! 10 W's in a row! Let's keep it up!

AND the Rockets and the Clippers Game 1 tonight!!! Go Rockets!!!

Nope...it's still there. The beams they tore down was probably not the main structure of the Astrodome is my guest. YES...the Astros are in 1st place in their division! GO Rockets!

I'm pissed! The Rockets gave the game away. All those turn-overs??? I kept hoping that they would eventually wake up, but they never did...

...hehehe, Vesicles...and the Rangers snapped the Astros 10-game winning streak with a 2-1 come back victory yesterday.

But, I think the Rockets will come back...and the Astros are doing just fine.
