This team looks a lot better than recent teams. Even with Yao Ming back then, they had problems beating Australia and New Zealand consistently. Wang Junjie has been playing in the NCAA. They need more of this type of player with NCAA experience. A couple of their best Chinese players are not even on this team for various reasons. So this current batch of players looks promising.
*Shakes head* If you asked me in 2000 whether I thought China's national basketball team or China's national soccer team would be the first to be considered "good" or "competent", I would've said soccer. Now, it seems China's soccer team is unlikely to become good before the heat death of the universe.

Soccer is the hardest to get a team to be good at. You need 11 good players which is more than most sports. And they need to work well. And in the most played sport.

There's no single hero. You must have a proper system or you fail. China messed up hard. They only had Wu Lei and now he's too old. And he's one of the few who played overseas. Everyone else sucks.

There is a Japanese college in this league has 6 blacks in the team
Then if they win, we should raise them a different flag than the Japanese one. Either do a genetic test on thier doping control blood samples and find out where in Africa they are from or raise the Black Panther/Wakandan flag whenever they win. Bet you they wouldn't even be offended; they'd start crossing their arms over their chests for the Wakandan salute! LOL

Honestly what's the point of all these "international" competitions if every country is going to recruit the same few people that's clearly not representative of their own countries.

It's why people aren't interested in seeing table tennis when a lot of times it's just China vs some other Chinese. Sports is all becoming like that.

Just get a couple more Brazilians on the Chinese soccer team.

Big event for China this weekend. Hoping as many Chinese fighters win. The purpose of this is to showcase china's MMA development in the last few years.
Eh. Mixed performance. A lot of guys from China won but they are all ethnic minorities from the same Enbo Fight Club that is near Tibet.

Not one Han Chinese fighter won these past two days. Most disappointing is Zhang Mingyang was given an easy matchup against Johnny Walker whos on a 2 fight losing streak and he still lost as the main event.

There is only one Zhang Weili and I guess Yan Xiaonan who at least made it to a title fight. Every other fighter from China can't perform when they need it most so far (and that includes ethnic minorities).

I will of coz still support the development of Chinese MMA. Its just painful to watch them choke at crucial moments. I will at least acknowledge though based on the age and development of MMA after all these years, one gym in China seems to know how its done.
