It's ironic that there's this stereotype that athletes of African descent in track and field are likely to dope up when they dominate the sport. Yet in swimming when someone not belonging to the dominating circle wins, there's a suspicion of cheating. The last Olympics there was an accusation that Jamaican athletes must be cheating because so many winners are produced there. They have a logic for everything even when it contradicts what they said before. Serena Williams gets a lot accusations hurled her way many pointing to her physique being "unnatural' for women's tennis yet the US women's gymnastics team stands out unlike every other team looking like a bunch of little girls hopped up on steroids and yet no such accusations. Of course there's prejudice against Asian athletes because the stereotype is they're non-athletic and is unnatural to them. I remember listening to a radio show after the Chinese men's gymnastics team won gold in one Olympics and the one of the radio personalities accused them of cheating because she believed Chinese men having muscles is not natural. I remember when I was a kid in school and a student I didn't know walked up to me in the school yard and proceeded to tell me I belonged an inferior race because Asians didn't have professional athletes or popular musicians. See.. they teach them young.
