, so the absence would not appear to reflect a recent deterioration in relations between Indonesia and China.
Maybe the Chinese vessels got lost and found themselves arriving at the Tasman sea instead.

The Vietnamese Armed Forces have shown footage of the landing of marines on the coast. The exercises involved the use of PT-76B and BTR-60PB light tanks, the landing was carried out from a Project 771 medium landing ship. It is worth noting that it is quite difficult to see this military equipment in excellent, close to new condition these days. Judging by all the videos, the Vietnamese army carefully monitors the condition of its military equipment. The PT-76B light tank used by Vietnam was produced in the USSR from 1959 to 1963. The PT-76B is also in the Russian army, but they are in storage. The PT-76B tank is equipped with a 76.2 mm D-56TS rifled gun. The BTR-60PB was also produced in the USSR from 1960 to 1987. The Vietnamese BTR-60PB is armed with a 14.5 mm KPVT heavy machine gun and a 7.62 mm machine gun. Russia is also currently using the BTR-60PB.
