Wow.... congrats to SDF. It does look like SDF has benefitted recently from the demise of CDF.

:nana: :china:

CDF is dead?

I woulnd't count "ezboarz or yahoo groups" as forums for SinoDefence. Those are some crapy and cheap days and should not be remembered. The official SinoDefenceForum.com is one year old. :D

They had some massive crash that erased all the postings accumulated over the years. Now the activity is way lower than it used to be. Many members went elsewhere.

I consider myself one of "the regulars" so I guess I should sound off on this. ;)

We've come a long way from the old forum...

This is great. :D We have developed a great page with intelligent and well moderated talk about not only PLA defense issues but world wide defense matters. We 'da bomb!:nana:

For those of you that are unfamilar with the old forum you can check it out here;

It's always good for a laugh!

Long live SinoDefence Forum!:china: :china: :china: :china:

Popeye, you're right. Whenever I see a CNN report on China's military or on newswebsites like the BBC they usually have something attributing info to Sinodefence on it. As for the forum, we definately have some prestige. I wonder if anyone important reads what we write.

If we do get to 10 years, I'll come to the party, even if its in China or canada ir Finland or wherever. Not kidding!

I always look forward to doing some posting when I get the chance, so I'll stick around. And as long as the PLA stays around and world events keep happening, we'll keep writing about it.

About the military story thread-Uhh...School started so I might not try to get time to finish up the story I'm writing. But it'll get done eventually.

I'm signing off. :china:

unfortunately, wikipedia does not have an article on sinodefence. I'm sure we will have a lot more members if the forum is promoted through wiki. A lot of chinese military related articles are already citing sinodefence as a source.

Whenever you read wiki or come across an article that is related to military, just scroll down and put SinoDefenceForum.com's link at the bottom in external links section if you do want to help and see SDF expand and grow at fast pace. A number of articles on Wikipedia already have external links back to the forum.

And i had more than 1200 posts... how on earth did I get so many?

You and some other posters were having a personal contest to see who could post the most..Remember? I'm sure you do.

Well we are way past that...That was long ago. The thing I enjoy is seeing the young members mature and learn...That is great!

25th August 2016, at my place (where ever it may be)....Sauna is warming and there is enough booz to all (all oldtimers are legal drinkers in then)

PS: and those who feels the Sauna way too uncomftable, well they can seddle for the booze solely:D :D

i know when i go back to china my parents wouldn't give a care if i drinked with them, there's technically no drinking law in china even if there is hardy nobody drives so it's more safe...
but here if my parents found out i drinked, they would take the car keys away from me instantly :(
