SinoDefence update log thread

I agree that some parts in the ground force section need update. I am collecting raw material at the moment and will start soon.

As to the FC-1 page, I am waiting the situation to be clarified as whether PLAAF will purchase any or not before I update it.

Some recomendations:

1.Some pics of type 96 with ERA/composite bricks have come out. Add pictures and description?

2. New pics and update to the 51C page? Weapons installation is complate.

I like wikipedia's "revision history" feature. Having an upadte log is a great idea, but it'd get confusing if we put changes from all sections into one log thread. If we can have a separate change-log for each page or section on Sinodefense, I think that'd work better.

How about if we emulate wikipedia and have change-log, discussion, and update request linked directly to each page/section on sinodefense?

It is the best idea I've ever heard! You are the top man! :china:

However, do you have any suggestions about how to achieve this? Should someone start a thread in this forum first, for example, "J-10 update suggestion thread". Once it is created, I'll put a link on the J-10 page on SinoDefence.com, so that no duplicate thread will be created. How does this sound?

That sounsd pretty good. This why, if anyone wants to contribute, they have to register on the forum. We can prolly dodge a lot of spam this way. Also, as another suggestion, I think it'd be nice if we start adding credits/references/source section to the site, similiar to wikipedia. Something like:

"...blah blah blah...(1)"

I'll start with WZ-10 update discussion.

Re: Where's the button to access the forum from the new SinoDefence web page?

Isn't the new SinoDefence web page missing a tab to access the forum?

How are new potential members supposed to find the forum section?
It looks like it's missing a LOT of links (sinodefence.com main page shows only the space programs with no links to other branches of the army). I really hope the site is in the middle of being updated.

It seems only the space section is maintained, the remainder seems to be left alone to rot. Sadly I don't know of any military websites with a comparable quality, design and content wise. I just wonder, why there's no information about it, since the space part definitely IS updated regularly. If the rest of the site is dead, so be it, but a quick statement on Sinodefence on that would be helpful.
