Sino-Soviet Border Clash 1969

One of the most interesting parts of the conflict: The Chinese captured a Soviet T-62 (numbered 545), back then a secret state-of-the-art tank, in its combat debut. Today this would probably be the equivalent of a third world nation shooting down and capturing a superpower’s 6th gen fighter in its first sortie.
The new display for this tank is pretty cool:
Decades ago when I visited Beijing the tank was displayed outside, although undercover. I've seen some joking refer to it as "中苏友谊见证车" or "tank of Sino-Soviet friendship".
Undercover? What, you were a Russian spy? /j
Undercover as in, there was a roof over the tank but it's not indoor.
The Russians were using "cope cages" even in 1969?!

Like that, but then in recent years they renovated the museum and put it indoor now.
A few of the T62's were recovered to fight in Ukraine. They can still run and shoot.
