Well, if he is from Singapore, chances are, he's been one -given that he's old enough. But eh, how mobile are we talking about? Any comparable vehicle to give a leverage/idea?

Side note: avoid short posts that aren't very factual. (Though experiences are greatly welcomed. ;) )

I believe he is a SG tankee as I have seen exactly the same nick before on SG military forum before.

Btw, due to the unique environmental and terrain requirements, the Bionix is the best vehicle SG can churn out for usage in the armoured forces. Besides this is the first armoured vehicle ever produced by SG and it is done in such a way it satisfy local needs, like a conscript force.
I have a couple of friends in armour that are also conscripts. They claim this vehicle is quite easy to drive and maintain, in fact most of them don't even have experience on driving even a civilian car. The bionix is also a great leap from the up armoured M113 previously used. In fact, the Bionix as surpassed the old rickety AMX13-SM1 as the main work horse for the mechanised operations. A family of vehicles are also produced based on the bionix. A light tank variant is in the pipeline.

Have you seen one? Used one?

I am currently a NSman sort of like reserves. Cheers :)

So you don't know how to drive *cough*kill a Vios? Just to remind you, it is against the rules to run over things with a Vios- and to double post.

The Bionix looks tall because of its dimensions, not necessarily due to its actual height.

Bionix:
Length: 5.9m
Width: 2.7m
Height: 2.6m

BMP-3:
Length: 7.14m
Width: 3.2m
Height: 2.4m

So essentially the Bionix is shorter and skinnier, so it looks taller than it actually is.

Singapore had already produced hundreds of Bionix AFV's, the Bionix II is just recycling the old chassis (plus improvements). They found something they liked and decided to stick with it.
