Should term limit for China's presidency remain the same, be extended, or eliminated?

Just ignore the troll and move on. Arguing with him is just like Americans criticizing US leaders. Nothing changes. The corrupt system is still corrupted. Mass shootings even increased during a pandemic. Police brutality is still ongoing. Racism is still rampant. And the dead from covid still remain dead.

You know, I'd be more worried if the dead didn't remain dead...

What does "might have" mean? LOLOL You're accusing someone of something that you imagined? For whom can you exclude this possibility? LOLOL

How many? Gimme a count. How many in China? Any comparison you can make? I wish there was some numerical way to sort this out instead of this "there looks like there are a lot of grains of sand on this beach" type of guesstimation. Oh right, there was: 83% return rate, and I gave it to you but you don't like it so let's pretend that "look at how many there are" is an acceptable rebuttal to empirical data LOL

You should've known if someone is so obsessed with democracy (free speech et al), China and Chinese (terms like: speak chinese/have lived in China/have a chinese wife etc), he must be from one country in the south of Asia.

Alright guys, stop this nationalistic back-and-forth bickering.

The original question that started this thread was: "Should term limit for China's presidency remain the same, be extended, or eliminated?"

Looking back 3 years since the term limit was dropped, do you support, oppose or are neutral on the term limit change. Discuss your reasons as for why, as well as any important future implications for the term limit change vis-a-vis US/China competition, Taiwan question, major potential political and economic reforms.

The term limit doesn’t mean squat at this stage. Xi could retire right now and he will still hold the real power. Stuff like titles and term limits are ceremonial at this point.

It is difficult to stop this "nationalistic back-and-forth bickering" because this is relating to the sovereignty of China as a nation. It is an internally national issues. The Chinese top leaders know exactly what they are doing up to the minute details. They know unknown things more than us.

Outsiders' discussion will not change anything at all as long as the majority of Chinese people are fine with it. And it has nothing to do with any future implications vis-a-vis US/China competition. If US cannot accept it, then it's US problem. When the Chinese government is so calm and restrained in her response to many US provocations until now, it only indicates one and only thing that the situation is under control (be it trade war or tech war). But when the Chinese government ups the ante (which can be very brutal), then our life will be more beautiful and colorful

This kind of discussion will for sure lead to trolling, especially by mental gymnasts and tongue yogis/yoginis.
