Should China build the f-23?

i.e. said:

build a single engined, but with a diamond wing and Vtail, a mini-YF-23 would not be a bad idea.

whoever builds them, prob would kick JSF's rearend in export market. which ever the meaning of "kick-rearend" you prefer...

Kinda makes me wonder if they can come up with something better given modern technology. Admittedly though, the JSF deserves credit for fulfilling an absurd number of requirements

J-20 is not a copy. How did they develop it? They might be proficient in computer modelling but that wasn't enough in the case of the Boeing 787 and the shapes of military aircraft are much more diverse. They almost certainly use small and large unmanned flying scale models as that is a cheap way to get on with the job of investigating aircraft aerodynamics and structures. No concern for the safety of the pilot.
