On second thought, this rudder is starting to look less and less like an actual functional structure and more like a full scale model… looks like it’s a piece of metal riveted onto the main vertical stabilizer with a protruding circular part roughly where the rotational axis should be to represent that it’s a control surface

So a J-75?!;):p
That 75 tail art is said to celebrate the 75th anniversary of PLAAF.

It is always better to provide context for such postings. The "75" tail art is meant to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the founding of the PLAAF. The PLAAF was founded on November 11, 1949.

The above photo were posted by the official Weibo accounts of the PLA, AVIC and CCTV-7. All the posts are hinting that we can wait to witness the aircraft itself in the upcoming Expo.

In the meantime, I suppose this should be a official stamp of confirmation that the land-based variant of the J-35 will enter service with the PLAAF as well, not just (carrier-based variant) with the PLAN.

In that case, perhaps the "PLAAF-yes-or-no-J35" debate can finally be put to rest.

I know ... I just tried a joke.

... but hey, another one: The AF-version will be indeed called J-75 since they want to mock the Russians with their own Su-75 in the same way they mocked the US with the F-35!! :D

I heard that this might just be a prototype and not a production one. Not even a prototype of the production version too.

Really? Who said this? As you know my obsession with numbers, besides some nice close-up images of that aircraft itself, I'm most of all interested in "which prototype" (1st, 2nd or whatever) of the AF-version it is!

In other forum some Pakistani guys are already hyperventilating as if this image is proof their own J-35P or J-35AE might be indeed ready for service in late 2025!
