F-35 has no choice, there's a great huge lift fan and doors that need to open up behind the cockpit.

Personally I don't think that image is high quality enough to be making these observations and I expect no change from what we've seen so far.
That might be the case but KF-21 and AMCA have similar designs and they don't have lift fans. I suppose we have to wait and see.

That's true, as someone who watched the live roll out I did forget about the KF-21. I supposed the the advanced 360 degree of sensors can fill in the picture.

F-35’s cockpit view is rather poor compared to previous generation of fighters like the F-15, F-16, Su-27, j-10, as well as F22 and J20.

it relies on a virtual reality cockpit that uses the equivalent of backup cameras on your car. except the camera image is projected through a VR helmet.
Typical cockpit of an aircraft with significant ground attack role, sacrificing direct rearward view for improved visibility downwards.
It is anything but poor, however.

F-35A and C have different cockpits, but generally situation is similar.
It's about priority, not just about the presence of the lift fan.

Just quickly skimmed through the paper on key changes of carrier-based version on aerodynamics design -- the compression angle before cockpit was reduced, the spine after cockpit was elevated, and the afterbody was negatively bowed.
Sorry to bother, but is there any chance that you can share some information on this paper (e.g. Title or a link)? Thanks a lot!

Interesting to note Rostec's teaser video featured Vietnam, India and Argentina as potential export markets but not China.
