Thanks for your kind reply but you surely meant 31003?

And in summary it confirms what we all expected.

ahh my bad, sorry about the typo. Also I've heard talk of naval 4th gen fighter having its maiden flight in June... again no concrete proof but I guess we can wait and see

Stop! Please, just, stop!! Sinodefence Forum is not a fanboy website.

That's a photoshopped image. Someone took an existing image of a J-31 parked on the tarmac, rotated it slightly counter-clockwise, and then put it against a false background to make it appear that it's landing.

Here's the photoshopped image (uncropped):

Hi,

Agreed that it may be a photoshop---but what if it is the Project AZM---.

Unlikely ... and I'm sure the usual suspects in several forums would have already presented theories and proof.

IMO anything concerning AZM is too premature ... but time will tell.

Not sure, but there are reports this latest image was taken ag Yanliang.
And could this be rated of now being a PLA project?

Does anyone know if CFTE only tests aircraft that are being evaluated for military service? Was the JF-17 ever tested at CFTE?

If this indeed a PLA-specific test, then it is most likely the air force that is looking to induct this plane. The naval variant would be significantly different from the land-based version and therefore it's inappropriate for the PLANAF to conduct such tests using the #31003 airframe.

To my knowledge JF-17 has never been tested in Yanliang, but IIRC the radar for JF-17 block 3 has been fitted to a testbed and conducted tests at CFTE.

Hi lets Assume ( my thoughts) PlANAF is ready to take on this project what is the maximum time
frame according to PlANAF doctrine to start inducting this fighter or how much time the manufacturer are having
to give a go ahead for this fighter
if an more learned member can answer this will be appreciated
