Large thrust engine in the sense of the size of the engine or the thrust-to-weight ratio of the engine? I.e., is pupu saying it won't be equipped with WS-10/15 (which no one expects) or won't be equipped with WS-19 (which would be shocking)?
A better translation for "skeleton eagle" is falcon.

New rumor from 草根设计师-CAD suggests that the FC-31-based J-35 will have miniscule weight increases and a hefty fuel load, as well as a possible air force variant.

It's better translated to high thrust engine, i.e. AL-31/F110 class engine. The commentator pretty much implies that J-35 would be a twin medium engines design (RD-33/F404 class engine).
Large thrust engine: ws10 ws15 al31 al41 F110 F100 F119 F135...................
middle thrust engine: ws13 ws19 ej200 m88 f404/f414...................

AVIC has no authority in name anything "J". It is only PLA, just like only USAAF or USAN can name something "F, A" etc. It would be crazy for PLA to throw away lots of numbers for AVIC experiments.
