An interesting image. It shows PLZ05s firing from a valley road. The high firing angle and the mountainous surroundings indicate probable indirect fire, aiming for targets on the other side of the mountains.
Btw, what's the relation between BRE or Weishi rockets?
From my impression it seems like they're 2 different families of rockets, BRE made by Norinco and is more popular in PLA while Weishi made by SCAIC and is mostly for export
Recently, the 81st group army of the PLA conducted an exercise on the plateau. The 155mm self-propelled howitzer fired violently, and the scene was shocking.
Long range rocket artillery demolishing towed artillery formation at 5KM altitude. The only way to fire accurately at high altitude is to shoot plenty of munitions and acquire the necessary data for weapons calibration. Looks like harde earned data from last year’s military exercises has paid off.
