Some nations don't field MRLS. For those who do field it would be mostly useless. I can think of two possibilities when a ramjet shell would be useful.Never understood the point of those shell when MRLS exist.
Why are the back fins curved like that?An image a ramjet powered, satellite-guided extended-range artillery shell developed by CASIC. Placard is in English.

When flat they conform to the curve of the munition. The fins deploy open after the round is fired. Why are the back fins curved like that?
So they are only for stabilization? Maybe in that case being evenly distributed it does not matter if they are straight or curved. When flat they conform to the curve of the munition. The fins deploy open after the round is fired.
The fins are curved so they can be flush with the rest of the munition as it is moving through the barrel. So they are only for stabilization? Maybe in that case being evenly distributed it does not matter if they are straight or curved.
