I got $50. Got into fights (multiple times in college, especially when drunk); got drunk (mostly in college); wrecked cars (3, to be exact... All while in college. But who's counting...); got tickets (got 8 tickets in the first year with a license). Come to think of it, I was pretty crazy in college... You know what happens when you finally get away from your parents. No need to get back before 10pm anymore! YAY! Party time!
I am much better now. Quit drinking in 1995 (junior year in college) and hasn't touched even a drop of alcohol ever since). And the last time I got a ticket was almost 6 years ago. And I'm still driving the same car that we bought a couple years after college, not even a scratch on it! Now thinking about it, time for a new car!

Yeah, excluding repeat violations - parking tickets - either $40 or $60.
I totaled a rental car once but it was another driver's fault, as agreed to by the insurance companies. I was 4th in a 6 car pile up which as I found out after the fact was caused by the front most car coming to a dead stop after rounding a bend in the middle lane of a busy 3 lane connection between two highways because it had a minor scrape with a 7th car which had smartly pulled over on the shoulder further along instead of stopping then and there. Still it was a lesson to keep my distance even though in busy traffic people just keep cutting in and take up any distance I try to leave in between.
