Anyway the S400 are supposed to go faster (mach 5.5 mid range)

the s-300 missles seiries system is a very capable air-defence missle, better than early patriots. it defeated the patriot in the uae competition.

I wouldn't go that far. It depends on which patriot series you compare it to. S-300 series also lost out to the patriot missile for the south korean market.

yeah, that's true, but I wouldn't say for sure S-300 is better. I personally think S-300PMU/PMU2 and other variants have the entire pacific coast of China covered.

Well PAC3 lost the greek bidding contest (while having a less elaborated test that the russkis). And hadn't it been for the US political pressure on greek government they would have never turned away from such a system.

Let alone the pathetic score sheet PAC2 had against 35 yr old SCUD (SS1/2:D )

I mean patriot is good for the show and chest thumping but the S series are heavy duty hunters.
