@Jura, if you care to know:
Nothing wrong with the red star. Although it is heavily used by Communist block, but not exclusive. It is still on the New Zealand flag and Flag of California and Washington DC. See this
and this early USAF tail insignia.
Don't hate the rock just because one has an issue with the guy who sat there moment ago.
I have a deja vu, a similar thing has popped up before in this forum in another thread about swastika as a symbol of Buddhist temple on maps in Japan.
@AFB, I know you are kidding.
Huummmm! yeah a little bit,,,, and I know Putin is a bad dude, and no I wouldn't want to lose my many freedoms under a communist regime, like Hillary Rodham Clinton,,, that's why I list my location as Central Obamastan, after Obama turned the US in a former Soviet Satelite Republik??
but, I understand and admire the Russian people, and the Chinese people, in fact I probably have an inordinate fondness for them both, I have a love and a concern that probably only the Lord could have placed in my heart?? I hate what the liberal media does to Russia and China, and they do the same thing to Trump.
If General Flynn had remained in his post, and the Dirty Politicians hadn't viliefied RUSSIA, and Hillary blaming the Russians for her losing the election?? President Trump, and President Putin would have put a lot of this NASTY KRAP that the Dems stirred up behind them, and President Xi and Trump no doubt as, many differences as we do have, have a start to a good relationship.
So yes, as Master Jura reminds life in a communist country is very difficult, but I do admire the Russians, and their amazing aircraft, there's really nothing quite like the Flanker, and the Flankers have had the benefit of some master showmen, pushing the Flanker to its limits and beyond, no doubt they have "beat on" the T-50, pushing it and even breaking it where it was weak, in order to get to the airplane they have today, a much better airplane! however, I would still take 055 in a heartbeat, Red Star and all, maybe I could find her a little work as a US contractor, playing the OP-FOR!
actually I'm just holding my breath and hoping the Chinese let me have the little black J-31 prototype?? I think I would qualify to fly that under "light sport" don't you??? Heh! Heh! Heh!
oh and got up close and personal with those two Mig-29s here in Central Obamastan, took some closer pictures, and they are somewhat crude??? but very, well built.. looks like "pop rivets", with a steel core pulling the skins together, loved touching them, and feeling them, neither one will likely ever fly again, but I can always hope??
First flight of Natasha was on U-tube in Dec 2010, my nephew got to sit in Natasha, and I was invited to come up and ride in the Mig-21 they used to have, now that, would have scared me???
the company that flew them used to incorporated as "RED AIR",,,,, then became "US AIR", Dr. Bruninga, an Air Force Reserve Officer and F-16 pilot, and my little brothers Flight Physician told him they had a bad accident, and were now defunct???
