MiG-31 Foxhound, an icon of heavy fighters, looking amazing even now!

I look forward to seeing what the Russian do with the MiG--41. Heard it's gonna be a beast in a class of its own!

Bring it on, Mikoyan!!!

Gorgeous old bird, but you could lose her at the first turn with an F-5, she is an iron maiden! with not nearly enough wing to play games, a Harrier would bust your chops?? but funky kool Soviet Junk!

all the promises the Su-27 kept, now that is an aeroplane!!

I am curious to know whether Argentina ever considered the Flanker an option? Given the fact that Argentina doesn't have any aircraft carriers, plus has a 3000 mile coastline to protect. The Russian Flanker would be ideally suited for such conditions. Perhaps, Argentina could go for configurations such as the one Malaysia or Algeria have. With European avionics and Russian air-frame, radar & engines.

Just a thought!

A capital idea. Yes it has been considered and talked about on some of the military forums. In all honesty it would be a very good aircraft considering the vast area that needs to be covered. However, there are three main problems: first is the acquisition cost of the aircraft is more than what the nation could afford; second issue would be the maintenance costs for these aircraft (about $20,000+ per flight hour) would reduce the flight hours of the pilots; third is the military’s stigma of utilizing Russian aircraft (this attitude is slowly changing) due to the fact of the large number of Cold Warriors.

A particularly hard landing by a Su-35. I would not want to be him after the debriefing.
