Here is the new Mi-8AMTSh in the new camouflage. They don't have the rear ramp for some reason. Were there structural problems with the ramp? And it looks like they have a new APU, and all of them have vibration dampers.

Some users don't like the ramp so instead they use clam shell style doors. the Russians I think use both options. Because of the clearance between the bottom of the hull and the tarmac in most cases a Ramp is not needed, most uses really don't need the ramp when a door and clam shell doors are available.
