A new mini missile has been developed for the Russian Pantsir-S1M air defense system. The new missile makes it possible to more effectively shoot down small targets from a record close distance of 500 meters. The development was carried out to fight primarily with massive small-sized targets and, apparently, to reduce the cost of missiles. The Pantsir-S1M missile will reportedly shoot down UAVs and multiple rocket launchers.

Footage of the new Russian fire control complex for troops "Planshet-M-IR" has been published. In this case, the complex is placed in a new armored car "Athlete". The complex was created to automate the fire control of artillery, mortars and MLRS. The system allows the command through the tablet to see the entire situation on the front line and quickly control the fire and the actions of different groups of troops. The complex, through a closed satellite channel, can exchange data, including with UAVs and radars. The task of the complex is to exclude the human factor from the processes of obtaining target designation and carrying out calculations before hitting the target, this speeds up the work of units and increases the accuracy of the strike. "Tablet-M-IR" became the development of the "Tablet-A" complex, which is already being mass-produced and has a lot of positive feedback from the military.

Russia chases off UK spy plane

An interceptor was sent to escort a British RC-135 that violated airspace near Murmansk in western Russia

A Royal Air Force spy plane violated Russian airspace in the Barents Sea near Murmansk, the Russian Defense Ministry said on Monday. A MiG-31 interceptor was dispatched to escort the RC-135 surveillance jet from the vicinity of Cape Svyatoy Nos, near the major bases of the Russian Navy’s Northern Fleet.

The MiG-31BM interceptor on duty with the border air patrol identified the aircraft and compelled it to stop its violation of Russian airspace, the military said in a

. Moscow identified the location of the incident as Svyatoy Nos, a cape on the Kola Peninsula, east of Murmansk in western Russia.

While the Russian Defense Ministry offered no further details about the incident as of Monday evening local time, FlightRadar showed a Royal Air Force RC-135 flying off the coast of Murmansk earlier. The RAF spy plane with the designation RRR7255 made several loops before heading for the entrance to the White Sea, violating Russian airspace in the process.

The plane is seen currently flying back to the RAF base in Waddington, Lincolnshire, the hub of the RAF Intelligence Surveillance Target Acquisition and Reconnaissance (ISTAR) command.

The Russian 'new' M-81 robotic dog in development.

The Russian company Intellect Machine unveiled the first prototype of the M-81 robotic system during Russia’s Army 2022 expo, which opened on Monday outside of Moscow. The dog-like robot is capable of conducting both military and civilian tasks, according to its creators.
During a demonstration held during the expo, the M-81 could be seen following a number of commands given by its owner all while carrying and occasionally aiming an unloaded rocket launcher on its back.
Intellect Machine says that the prototype presented at the Army 2022 expo, which was primarily built using Chinese components and technology, cost nearly 1 million rubles (~$16,000). However, the company says it hopes to launch production of these robots in Russia in the near future.

Why is the M-81 robot dog wrapped in black fabric?

Is it because of this?:

where the robot dog is listed at $2,700. The Go1 quadruped robot was developed by Unitree. The shape of the optical sensors on the front of the robot’s head, partially hidden by the cloth covering, appear to match those of the Go1.

There is a very well-known superpower wannabe that is (in)famous for developing 'new technology' like this. So why does some Russians want to follow their example? Russia is much better than this. There is no shame in saying that Russia imported some Chinese Go1 robots and fitted them with RPGs. Then later on, Russia can make their very own M-81s to replace those Go1s.

At the Army-2022 forum, which presents the latest innovations in military equipment, a prototype of a Russian robot dog with a grenade launcher was shown. There is almost no information about the M-81 complex yet. The Russian robot is assembled using Chinese technology and is not just an entertainment model.
