KRET showed a new control panel for helicopters at HeliRussia 2022

20.05.2022

Concern Radioelectronic Technologies (KRET) presented a prototype of a new generation navigation equipment kit for helicopters during the HeliRussia 2022 exhibition.

“For the first time, a central multifunctional control panel (MCP) has been developed for a helicopter, similar to the devices installed on the new generation aircraft MS-21 and SSJ-New. The novelty will significantly reduce the number of control panels in the cockpit and facilitate the work of the crew,” said the representative of the concern.

A new set of navigation equipment was developed at the Ulyanovsk Instrument Design Bureau (part of JSC KRET). The MPU includes: multifunctional indicator IM-16M-4NL, navigation information generation unit BFNI-1, remote control trackball PT-3.
According to the developer, the multifunctional control panel provides the crew with all the necessary flight and navigation information, as well as downloads, stores and updates databases containing all information about the flight - aeronautical, topographic and user, as well as electronic and technical documentation.

Management is carried out with the help of trackball manipulators or a multi-position "washer", as well as an additional joystick.

That article is retarded as usual. Sure, other countries have laser systems which can shoot down drones either in development or deployed to a limited degree. AFAIK the US Navy has it in ONE ship. And the Israelis supposedly have ONE system as well. The US Army has systems under development. And the Russians now claim to have sent Zadira to the combat troops i.e. the army. That means it has actually passed trials, and entered serial production, because that is how the Russian MIC does things. Equipment does not get "sent" to the regular troops which hasn't entered at least limited serial production.

The article is also wrong about the amount of Peresvet systems, because what I heard from other sources was that each Topol-M/Yars missile division has it. There are at least 7 divisions. Even if they only had one system per division that is more than the 4-5 systems they claim. And the objective is not to destroy US reconnaissance satellites, but to blind them so they can't detect the ICBM launch heat signature, if the satellite closes a sensor shutter and doesn't track the launch location or amount of launches then Peresvet accomplished its mission.

It is proposed to remove age restrictions for military service under the contract

If the bill is passed, Russians over 40 and foreigners over 30 will be able to conclude the first contract.
20.05.2022

Amendments to the Federal Law "On military duty and military service" have been introduced to the State Duma , which propose to eliminate the age limit for those wishing to conclude a contract for military service. Its authors were Chairman of the Defense Committee Andrey Kartapolov and his First Deputy Andrey Krasov .

According to the current legislation, Russian citizens aged 18 to 40 and foreigners aged 18 to 30 can enter into the first military service contract.

The authors of the initiative propose to remove this restriction, allowing those who are older to conclude the first contract. “For the use of high-precision weapons, the operation of weapons and military equipment, highly professional specialists are needed. Experience shows that they become such by the age of 40–45,” the explanatory note says.

The document also states that the implementation of such approaches will facilitate the recruitment of specialists in popular specialties, primarily those related to civilians (medical support, engineering units, maintenance, operation, communications, etc.), to the military service.

definition of strategic drone is that worked thousands of kms not hundreds of km. There is data on drone flights in Syria and Ukraine.
there will be more emphasis on heaviest and longest range assault and attack choppers.
we are moving in direction where fix large air defense targets hit by standoff hypersonic missiles while mobile air defense by attack choppers. with manpads unable to deal with either of them.
