You are right though. It isn't denigrating Russia at all. I thought it was earlier because of the bear's expression and the sniggering from the figure wearing the tiger. Also the fact they're dressed far better to indicate superior position?

I’m pretty sure those 2 figures represent both SAC(Siberian tiger) and CAC(Panda)

Tiger is Shenyang (SAC) and the Panda is Chengdu (CAC).

You can put Tempest and FCAS there and J-20 and F-22. All 5th gen fighters tend towards a certain frontal profile. It's just convergent engineering based on stealth shaping principles. When it's China related, they'll cry copy... then ten plus years later the rest of the duds come with their copies that are still only in ppt format (AMCA and FCAS) and their fanboys are busy telling you why it's not a copy.

Having said that, Checkmate probably features a different intake design than the others (DSI or raptor like). It's also going to be the first one with no horizontal stabilisers.
