Russia still has the advantage over China in jet engine technology. Their helicopter, bomber and transport fleet are all larger. But if this video is correct then the Russian fighter fleet is already smaller and less advance than that of the PLAAF. And with the pace of procurement in China the gap in fighter advantage of the PLAAF is growing while Russia's advantages in those other area's are shrinking. Its not that strange since China has twice the manpower of Russia but three times the defense budget and has a much larger and broader industrial base.
