It seems that the Russian Goverment is using one semipublic company VSMPO-Avisma, part of the Rostec Conglomerate to enforce a shortage of titanium for the US and european aeronatical companies.
Boeing buys from this russian company something like a 40% of the titanium it uses. Embraer buys all its titanium from VSMPO.
Anothe facet from Strategic war...
