Most effective ? Pure performance wise I dont think so but if you put price, sturdiness and availability to buy in the equation, its certainly near or on top.

What other heavy fighter jets are presently available without a lot of strings attached ? None

What other modern fighter jets are presently available without a lot of strings attached ? Mig-35, J-10ce and Jf-17. Could we put the Rafale or Eurofighter into that slot ? Not even sure. You could be cut by a US embargo most probably.
the word modern, advanced along with long range weopons that made it most effective fighter.
in current conflict Russians are using MIG-31 for tracking HIMAR rockets in air. HIMAR low rcs, speed, altitude is such that need MIG-31 this is the capability that Su-35 is competing. it is creating military power that make the world safe for the Royal Kingdoms. sales may or may not be primary motive.

Conqueror of Heights and Distances:

The MiG-31's service ceiling exceeds 25 km. It reaches the stratosphere at supersonic speeds: the fighter can reach speeds of 3,000 km/h, or almost three times the speed of sound. One of the missions of these aircraft is to intercept cruise missiles. It's no coincidence that one of the MiG-31's base airfields is located equidistant from Moscow and St. Petersburg. This ensures effective air defense of these two largest centers of the country.
If necessary, the MiG-31 can fire this entire salvo of ordnance. It is impossible to escape such a strike. The aircraft also has an excellent radar, allowing it to see at a range of over 400 km.
According to Colonel Anatoly Ulyanov, commander of the Russian Aerospace Forces regiment, the new missiles equipped on the MiG-31 are capable of striking targets in near space. These include satellites, ballistic and cruise missiles, and other enemy air attack weapons, including those yet to be developed. The concept of this aircraft, the officer notes, was conceived so that a detachment of these aircraft could cover a positional area approximately 1,000-1,200 kilometers wide. "For our large country, especially its northern borders, this is ideal, because these aircraft cover the entire coastline of the Barents and Kara Seas," notes Colonel Anatoly Ulyanov.

The United Aircraft Corporation delivered a new batch of Su-34 fighter-bombers to the Russian Ministry of Defense in November. This is the sixth batch of Su-34 aircraft this year. The Su-34 can carry 8 tons of combat payload, distributed across 12 hardpoints. The aircraft can also be used for aerial reconnaissance missions. The Su-34 crew is protected by 17 mm of armor. The Su-34 fighter-bomber "confirmed its status as the best aircraft in its class."

This video came from this article under Policy. It mentioned Zircon 1500km in 10 minutes. the article is one place summarization of things that came out from RT Arabic about latest tech but added line that Russia expects to have several hundreds of Su-57 fighters.
They expect Russia has 3500km subsonic and some version of Advance Hypersonic missile for Su-57 and that alone doubles Russia strike power against naval ships. but not clarified double compared to what?. Is Su-57 has double the performance of detecting ships compared to other Russian fighters. Su-34 will not be far behind in deploying these long range missiles.

The Su-57 and Zircon: An equation that shifts the balance of Russian deterrence

A unique combination of stealth and lightning-fast strikes

The combination of the Zircon missile and the Su-57 fighter jet, which has stealth technology and a long operational range, constitutes a unique strategic addition that doubles Russia’s ability to target enemy naval fleets from safe distances, and at speeds that cannot be easily detected or intercepted.

In the same vein, the MiG-31K/1 fighter jet stands out as a potential launch platform for the airborne version of the Zircon, having previously been used to launch Kinzhal KH-47M2 ballistic missiles. The fighter is expected to be able to carry multiple missiles per sortie, given the Zircon's smaller size compared to the Kinzhal, thus significantly increasing its offensive capabilities

The Russian army has begun actively using heavy Italmas drones. They were first reported in 2023, but technical information was scant. The drone, "Izdeliye-54" or "Italmas," is the name of a flower. Ukrainian sources refer to the drone as the BM-35. The Italmas drone was developed by Aeroscan, a member of the ZALA Aero group, the developer of the Lancet drone. The Italmas drone has a composite fuselage with easily removable fuel tanks in the wings. The drone can be used for reconnaissance and group operations; it is equipped with a night vision camera and can direct artillery fire in real time. The drone can be launched into autonomous flight and set to search for a specific target, or it can be controlled by an operator. The drone is approximately 2 meters long and has a wingspan of 1.8 meters. It is equipped with an internal combustion engine and can reach speeds of up to 200 km/h at an altitude of up to 4,000 meters. The drone has a range of over 200 km and can carry a payload of up to 40 kg. Flight time is up to 2 hours. The drone can be launched from a catapult or a mobile platform. The estimated price of the Italmas drone is 5 million rubles (US$55,000).

Russian company LazerBuzz unveiled a "Posoh" laser system designed to destroy FPV drones. The "Posoh" laser can already automatically destroy UAVs in 0.5 seconds. Technical details are scarce, but it is known that the company's goal was to create an inexpensive, compact air defense system to destroy FPV drones. Judging by the video, the air defense system is targeted using an optical channel. The "staff" laser, with a power of 3 kW, can already destroy drones at a range of up to 700 meters. According to the developer, further increasing the laser's power could significantly increase its cost. The system is powered by batteries that can be charged by a generator in the field. The "staff" air defense system is designed to protect critical infrastructure from drones. The project is ready, but requires funding for production.

Interesting alleged user review of T-80BVM. Poor QC lets down a tank with various pros and cons:

How much of the poor reliability is caused by the T-80B hulls/turrets being old and kept in questionable storage conditions? T-90s are all newbuilds, new turrets, new hulls, etc. so it's reasonable that they will have better reliability than refurbished T-80BVMs. It's an unequal comparison.

it could be true but i can't help but suspect that a nafo account would simply make something up to boost morale. kiev is in denial on pokrovsk despite even nato declaring it lost.
and considering how well 'ghost of kyiv,' 'they'll run out of ammo in 2 weeks,' and 'xyz is a gamechanger' have aged, i think i run no risk of exaggeration if i say that ukrainian credibility isn't particularly sterling.
