Number of missiles is still limited, a couple of drones attack and it need to go back to port. Could they bring reload on the ship ? Look quite complicated to make it happen anyway.

It's not a ship made for long mission duration and still have their AK-630 so it's quite better than having no sam defense or just manpads.

Don't know if they can put that module to the Pantsir-M equipped ships ?
Why only a couple of drones?
The Tor-M2KM ADS system carries two 4-missile modules at the same time, so eight missiles are constantly ready for launch.

Well missile wise, Tor can also carry 9M388 missiles. 16 missiles can be made available. The weaknesses would be however in how many targets the system can attack simultaneously. Serious bottleneck in Tor and Pantsyr is there due to command guidance.

The other problem with Tor installation on that Karakurt is EMC (Electromagnetic Compatibility) as the radar of the Tor can actually interfere with other electromagnetic system in the ship e.g its air search radar or communications like Satcom. Also blindspot as clearly the system wont be able to provide 360 degrees coverage.

Even with 16 missiles 9m388, it cannot afford to stay in range of the enemy for a long time, if they double launch on each target it's only 8 targets. They can rely on ak-630 after that...

It's a corvette, we cannot think of a big payload. It don't have a big cruise missile payload and endurance time of 15 days means returning to port to reload is mandatory anyway. So it's probably enough for it's job.

The main stage of the Russian-Mongolian military exercise Selenga-2024 was held at the Choibalsan training ground in Mongolia. During the exercise, a joint Russian-Mongolian group of troops conducted a counter-terrorist operation to liberate a settlement captured by illegal armed groups. UAVs and FPV drones, Tiger armored vehicles, tanks and other equipment were used during the exercise. With the help of UAVs, servicemen identified target coordinates and adjusted fire. MiG-29 and Su-25 aircraft, as well as Mi-8AMTSh and Mi-24P helicopters, and aviation struck advancing columns of equipment and enemy manpower. BM-21 Grad MLRS and 2S3 Akatsiya self-propelled guns were used to inflict fire damage. In total, about 700 people and about 200 pieces of equipment were involved in the events. The Selenga exercises are aimed at combating international terrorism.

In Russia, tests of the small-sized torpedo UMT have begun. It is designed for use from all types of aircraft carriers. The new universal small-sized torpedo UMT was developed by the concern "Sea Underwater Weapons - Gidropribor", its tests are underway on Lake Ladoga. The Russian torpedo UMT can be used from helicopters, airplanes and heavy drones. The torpedo UMT is equipped with multiprocessor analog-digital equipment for detecting surface and underwater targets and issuing commands for their destruction. The torpedo provides active hydroacoustic homing on the target and has a non-contact warhead weighing 35 kg, the torpedo weighs 100-140 kg. The torpedo UMT is capable of hitting targets at a range of up to seven kilometers, the depth of target destruction is up to 450 meters. The torpedo UMT has an electric motor that accelerates it to 50 kilometers per hour.

The Russian Thunder drone, a wingman of the Su-57 aircraft. The Russian attack drone "Thunder" from the Kronshtadt company was shown again at the Army-2024 forum. This is the second, presumably simplified version of the Thunder drone, which was first shown in 2020. The simplification was probably made to reduce the cost of the project and to attract greater interest from potential customers. Now the UAV has a conventional power plant without a flat nozzle. When viewed from the side, the Thunder drone began to look like the Soviet Tu-141 Strizh UAV, which is now in service with Ukraine. It is worth noting that the Ukrainian Tu-141, due to an error, was able to fly unhindered over Romania, Hungary and Croatia. Perhaps based on this fact, they decided to simplify the design of the Russian Thunder drone. The Grom UAV is designed to operate as a wingman in the forward attack echelon in cooperation with manned aircraft, presumably with the Su-35 or Su-57. The UAV is designed to destroy ground targets in tactical and operational-tactical depth and perform reconnaissance missions. The Grom UAV has underwing and intra-fuselage weapon suspension points. The drone uses Kh-38 air-to-surface guided missiles, Izdeliye 85 missiles, as well as KAB-250 and KAB-500 guided aerial bombs. The maximum speed of the Grom UAV is 1,000 km/h, cruising speed is from 650 to 800 km/h, flight altitude is up to 12,000 meters, combat radius is up to 700 km. The takeoff weight of the drone is 7 tons, the payload is 2 tons.

The only problem is the Mi-28NM "Night Hunter" is in practice relegated by the Ru Air Force to a day-time attack chopper, thereby making it vulnerable to SHORAD SAMS (Stinger/SAM-7) and negating its tactical advantage of operating under the cover of darkness using its 8-15km anti-tank missiles (Vikhr/Sturm).

This is long interview. The helicopter has the most advanced net centric and radar technology, integration with kamkaze drones. new composite blades for higher speed. and dealing with fighter aircraft and air defense radars. I think there version of R-74 that is radar guided and that missile against cruise missiles. despite so much advancement they still have difficulty in intercepting all the Ukrainian drones.

The emergence of an effective air-to-air guided weapon in the Mi-28NM helicopter made it relevant to use such an aerobatic maneuver as a tail funnel
The essence of combat use is to reduce the ground speed of the helicopter to almost 0 km/h - in this position, the helicopter merges with the earth's surface for enemy fighter radars. Then the crew takes a convenient position to attack enemy air targets with air-to-air missiles. Previously, combat use of this maneuver was impossible on the basic Mi-28N due to the lack of appropriate weapons. Undoubtedly, the emergence of new weapons and new capabilities for detecting the enemy will lead to the emergence of new specific aerobatic maneuvers for the Mi-28NM.
A fairly large amount of work was carried out on the Mi-28NM to reduce the weight and size characteristics of the mobile gun mount, the drive control is now digital, more reliable. As a result, both we and the military are satisfied with the operation of the small arms and gun armament on the Mi-28NM.
  • Increasing the tactical radius of combat use of the helicopter. To solve this issue, measures were taken on the Mi-28NM helicopter to increase the fuel supply in the main tanks, install additional self-protecting fuel tanks on the helicopter, which made it possible to significantly increase the tactical radius of combat use of the helicopter.
the range of targets is not inferior to that of attack aircraft. None of the foreign helicopters can compare with the Mi-28NM in terms of the volume of tasks it can solve and the range of targets it can hit.

Seems Ukranians are trying to pass some of their own losses as Russian. In this case what seems to be the same Bradley is "identified" as BMP-1 in the first video and then as an ATOM IFV, a long time cancelled joint venture between Renault and UVZ.

Just something interesting from the Ukraine thread. Just 10 years ago the pride of French industry was doing joint ventures with Russia's defence industry.

Really makes you wonder, how the heck did the West manage to lose Russia as an ally?

The reason is demographic and history. without too much into politics this head of Tatarstan is also head of all industrial enterprises like Tupolev that are active in Ukraine.
Sukhoi Superjet is excellent aircraft but Putin mistake was not putting effort on Modernizing Tu-214 series for Civilian production. This Kazan, Samara, UFA etc is much larger industrial area to do aviation work.

Rustam Minnikhanov visited the UEC-Kuznetsov enterprise in the Samara region

On Tuesday, August 20, a working visit of the delegation of the Republic of Tatarstan headed by the President of the Republic Rustam Minnikhanov to the Samara Region took place. The main goal of the visit was to get acquainted with the production facilities of JSC "UEC-Kuznetsov", which is part of the United Engine Corporation of the State Corporation "Rostec". Various stages of production were demonstrated at the plants, including the assembly of gas turbine and rocket engines, as well as demonstrations of high-temperature brazing and laser welding.

Samara Region enterprises have managed to establish close ties with the neighboring Republic of Tatarstan, thanks to which they actively cooperate. For example, "ODK-Kuznetsov" supplies aircraft engines to the Kazan Aviation Plant. This indicates significant potential for regional cooperation in the field of industry

The sculpture on the right side of renovated Street in Crimea is of Tu-16 Test pilot when it crashed and he was two times Hero of Soviet Union in WW2. these people have own understanding of history.
