The corporation which makes tank engines for the T-72 and T-90 reached a new production record.
The ChTZ-URALTRAK company, which is part of the Uralvagonzavod concern, has significantly increased the number of tank engines produced. It was possible to achieve such results, exceeding the best indicators of the post-war period of the USSR, due to the competent organization of production.
“ChTZ is rhythmically renewing and modernizing production, over the past year the number of employees has been increased by 30%. According to the results of work for the first quarter of this year,
the number of monthly produced modernized diesel engines exceeded the indicators of the USSR during the Cold War by 12%. Such indicators were achieved for the first time in the recent history of ChTZ,” said Igor Meshkov, Director for Special Assignments of JSC Concern Uralvagonzavod.
Recall that the Chelyabinsk plant is a backbone enterprise in the region, part of the domestic military-industrial complex. The main products of the enterprise are diesel engines up to 1500 hp.
