Ruble is world best performing currency. Soft Power theories are proven correct.
Russia is the only country that can produce full cycle Civil Airliners/Helicopters and most of things in
Mining/Petro-Chemical/housing/Pharma/Health Systems/Software etc and very suppressed values of Military Industrial complex. and this has reduced imports and made Ruble the strongest currency.
Countries like Germany and Japan depends on imported components and Science that include that Covid vaccine. Since they dont control Science they dont understand what is happening to them

The development of Islamic banking in Russia

Professor Marklin Konurbayev of Moscow State University sees no justification for keeping the fair and transparent system confined to four regions, "as entrepreneurs seek honest partners, and this ethical model is gradually becoming more common in the business community. The 3.5-fold increase in transaction volumes, according to Moscow Exchange data for 2025, forms the technical basis for replicating partnership models. The successful experiment in Tatarstan also sets a precedent for integrating other regions into a unified legal framework.

At the 17th International Economic Forum "Russia – Islamic World: KazanForum," Russian Deputy Minister of Health Evgenia Kotova announced the growth of medical tourism in Russia. According to her, foreign patients are increasingly choosing Russian clinics due to the high level of specialist training, modern facilities, and affordable treatment costs.

Kotova noted that Russian medical institutions are prepared to accommodate the religious and cultural sensitivities of visitors from other countries, including providing services in accordance with halal medical standards.

"Over the past six years, approximately 27 million medical tourists have chosen Russia for medical care. Approximately two million children from abroad have received treatment in our country. Moreover, over the past three years, the number of such patients has increased by approximately 20 percent annually," the Deputy Minister emphasized.

Russia plans to build a highway along the Caspian Sea with access to Afghanistan, Iran, and Pakistan.

Russian authorities are discussing China's participation in the construction and financing of the Caspian Sea pipeline.
May 19, 2026 G.
Russia is discussing China's participation in the construction and financing of a highway along the Caspian Sea with access to Iran, Afghanistan, and Pakistan, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin said in an interview with RIA Novosti.
"Of course, we're eager to build transport infrastructure not only with budget funds but also with extra-budgetary ones. We've currently selected around 20 transport projects. They've been reviewed by the Ministry of Transport and received a confirmation from the Ministry of Economy that they have a sound economic foundation and provide a good basis for development," Khusnullin said in an interview with RIA Novosti at the international economic forum "Russia - the Islamic World: KazanForum."
According to him, the possibility of attracting foreign investment in the implementation of road projects is being considered.
"One of these serious issues is attracting foreign investment. For example, we are very concerned about creating an eastern highway corridor along the Caspian Sea—Russia, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, access to Iran, and further access to Afghanistan and Pakistan. At the forum, we discussed with our Chinese colleagues the possibility of not only Chinese participation in the construction but also the possibility of attracting funding. In other words, we are exploring various financing options," the Deputy Prime Minister said.

The Northern Sea Route will be expanded as foreign investor interest grows.

How they want to expand the Northern Sea Route

In the future, the Northern Sea Route is planned to be expanded to include river, rail, and road transport, said Andrei Nikitin.

"From the traditional sea route from the Kara Gate to the Bering Strait, it (the Northern Sea Route – Ed.) is being transformed into a comprehensive transport system integrating rail, river, and road transport. This multimodal approach creates a unified logistics chain, improves supply reliability, and expands freight transportation capabilities in the Arctic region," the minister noted.
On a map, the expansion will look like this: the Arctic ports of Arkhangelsk, Murmansk, Naryan-Mar, Dikson, Pevek, and Anadyr will be connected to Siberian rivers, carrying goods from the interior of Russia. This will create continuous logistics chains from highways and railways through the Yenisei, Lena, and Ob river basins to the Arctic Ocean, Mikhail Dyakonov explained to Izvestia. In Yakutia, for example, a multimodal route is being developed: Mohe (China) – Dzhalinda – Nizhny Bestyakh – Lena River – Naiba port – the Trans-Arctic Transport Corridor.

"The logic is to integrate the NSR into a unified network of northern corridors, where the maritime section becomes the main external link, and domestic shipping occurs by river, rail, and road. This model potentially offers Russia a far greater impact than simply increasing the number of transits along the Arctic route," Kirlan Marchel, associate professor at the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation, explained in an interview with Izvestia.
Including Siberian rivers in the route would provide a huge boost to the region's economy and, most importantly, would lead to increased freight traffic along the NSR, noted Boris Martsinkevich, editor-in-chief of the analytical journal Geoenergetika.Info. For example, new wood processing plants could be built at river mouths where timber could be floated. It would be logical to launch large-scale wheat exports from the Omsk and Tomsk regions, where agricultural production is growing. Coal deposits, currently undeveloped, would also be developed. However, the main problem facing this route is the shortage of river transport and construction plants.

They are adding Vietnam to Transarctic corridor. This Trans-Arctic corridor is by agreement with each country.

There is some thing interesting behind this direct trade numbers. 70% of Japanese exports are Vehicle spare parts. now Japanese Auto industry is very globalized. Just about every country in the world makes parts for Japanese autos and China and South East Asia likely to be cheaper parts. so these highly likely parts for the higher end vehicles. The vehicles that only Japan domestically manufacturer. if the direct part is so high than the indirect will be even higher. and this Japanese auto industry pre-globalization (1991) Russia wanted to replicate and there is work going on in that direction that i will comment later.
see this example. This vehicle is very narrow. It was built for narrower roads and turns. EVs are not narrow vehicles nor they are light.
That narrow and light vehicles trend was started by Japanese on large scale.

The Angara-Yenisei Cluster: How a New Rare Earth Metals Industry is

Being Created in Siberia

  • Rich resources: the region boasts large deposits of essential metals.
Powerful energy: the Angara-Yenisei hydroelectric cascade already generates approximately 25 GW of excess electricity.
    Developed industry:
there is a foundation upon which new production facilities can be built.
Strong scientific schools: local universities and institutes are ready to supply personnel and technology.
Vast expanses of land: factories can be built while adhering to all environmental standards, without disturbing urban areas.
  • Materials. A dedicated Additive Materials Science Center will develop and produce metal powders for 3D printers, including those made from rare metals. These materials are needed for printing turbine parts, spacecraft, and automobiles.
  • Certification. To ensure parts can be used in critical industries, they must be tested. A dedicated laboratory will be created for this purpose. Without it, 3D printing will remain at the prototyping level.
  • Manufacturing. An Additive Manufacturing Center will open in 2028–2029, offering custom 3D printing services. Companies won't have to purchase expensive equipment—they'll simply be able to order the components they need.

As we can see, there are not many specifics yet, but it is possible to assume that workers from Afghanistan will be able to work in the Russian mining and metallurgical sector, especially since they have some experience.
Afghanistan is often considered one of the richest countries in the world in terms of untapped mineral resources. According to a 2021 report by the US Geological Survey and the Afghan Ministry of Mines, their total value was expected to exceed $3 trillion by 2025.
Afghanistan's geological profile is the result of hundreds of millions of years of tectonic activity, which has created complex, mineral-rich zones across the country—from Badakhshan province in the northeast, where gold deposits are complemented by long-established lapis lazuli mines, to the marble quarries of Nangarhar and Kandahar

Russia has developed a technology for extinguishing lithium batteries

A characteristic of such power sources is their extremely high fire and explosion hazard. Furthermore, fires involving lithium batteries cannot be extinguished using water, water-foam, or dry powder extinguishing agents.
"Lithium-ion batteries burn at very high temperatures, often exceeding the capabilities of standard fire extinguishers. When burning, they release corrosive and toxic gases such as hydrogen fluoride, carbon oxides, and others. Ordinary water may not prevent their spread. Gas accumulation inside the battery casing can lead to an explosion, posing a danger to firefighters and bystanders. Standard extinguishing methods may not be able to cover all sources of fire within the battery's complex structure," Sergei Tolkachev, a professor at the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation and a doctor of economics, told TASS.

"The project is expensive and requires security. We carefully selected safe areas for construction. But another aspect is also important: all these factories we plan to build are very energy-intensive, and we can't do without additional energy. But given that we'll need to build 13 plants, including hydrometallurgical facilities, additive printing plants, and many others, the region's energy load will increase significantly. Therefore, we will develop energy infrastructure in parallel with industry.

At the SPIEF, they proposed revolutionizing the auto industry.

Russia needs to create not just cars, but a new mobility ecosystem. Igor Povarazdnyuk, CEO of Kama JSC (manufacturer of the Atom electric vehicle), stated this at a session of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF).
"The most important thing is the Russian consumer, who is one of the most advanced in the world in terms of shared mobility and one of the most demanding in terms of user experience and user interface. Our people are accustomed to high-quality digital products—and this is our strength, which we must leverage in building the mobility of the future," noted Igor Povarazdnyuk.
He emphasized that by 2050, Generation Z and Alpha will become the market's primary audience, and that this is the timeframe for the technological maturity of autonomous driving, electric vehicles, and AI-based operating systems. In this regard, the speaker pointed to the combination of Russian assets: the electric platform and operating system of the Atom project, Rosatom's expertise in nuclear energy and battery production at gigafactories, and the artificial intelligence solutions of domestic IT giants.
According to the head of JSC Kama, the architecture of the future mobility ecosystem should include three key elements: highly personalized interfaces, an AI-powered operating system, and shared mobility in the form of robo-sharing powered by autonomous vehicles. Such a system, he envisions, should become the city's infrastructure—a unified, highly centralized architecture where electric vehicles serve as the "atoms" of the new urban mobility, and at its core lies a Russian platform, autonomous driving software, and battery, all powered by a single central processor. It is this approach, Povarazdnyuk emphasized, that ensures a rapid update cycle for content and functionality, which is critical in the era of personalized user experience.

This is not minor technical achievement. Russian auto industry tire rim size was always much smaller than rest of world this is due to offroad and Snow requirements, lighter vehicles without requirement of instant torque of turbo engines and EV.
Only Pirelli with its joint development with Rostec met that new energy vehicle requirements.

Iran and Russia are accelerating work on the International North–South Transport Corridor (INSTC) and expanding civil nuclear cooperation, including a $25 billion memorandum signed in 2025 for a major new power plant in Hormozgan, Iran’s ambassador to Moscow says.
Tehran (ISNA) - In remarks at an online scientific and practical conference on "Russian-Iranian Cooperation in a Changing World," jointly organized by the CIS Institute and Iran’s Center for Political and International Studies, Ambassador Kazem Jalali outlined the growing scope of bilateral economic ties.
Jalali said the INSTC – a strategic multi-modal route linking Russia and northern Europe to the Indian Ocean and South Asia via Iran – has become increasingly vital given emerging threats to international waterways and chokepoints.
Nuclear cooperation: from Bushehr to Hormozgan

Turning to civil nuclear energy, Jalali said cooperation remains a cornerstone of bilateral ties. The Bushehr nuclear power plant is now operational, with second and third units under construction. He thanked Russian partners for gradually returning engineers and specialists to Iran to advance work on those units.
In the medical sector, Jalali said research and operational cooperation between Iran and Russia on radiopharmaceuticals is growing rapidly.

"Iran has made remarkable progress in this field," he said. "We now produce 70 radiopharmaceutical products. In 2025, Iran ranked among the world’s top three producers of radiopharmaceuticals – demonstrating that our use of nuclear technology is strictly for peaceful purposes."

The ambassador’s remarks underscored how Tehran and Moscow are systematically deepening economic and technical cooperation across transport, energy, and nuclear medicine, even as both countries face Western sanctions and shifting global trade dynamics.

The conference was held in Moscow and included senior officials and academics from both nations. Jalali’s comments focused on bilateral economic and technical cooperation, with additional remarks addressing broader geopolitical issues unrelated to trade.

Arctic Leap: A Half-Century Strategy, Investments Today, and the Environment of Tomorrow

When discussing Russia's future, our gaze increasingly turns to the world map—to the vast resources and strategic interests of the country located beyond the Arctic Circle. 2026 was a turning point: at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, they weren't just discussing plans—they were shaping the Arctic's image for decades to come. A region that was recently perceived as a harsh periphery is now transforming into a major economic hub, a testing ground for breakthrough solutions, and a magnet for private capital. The scale of the tasks is impressive: we are essentially redeveloping vast territories, combining logistics, industry, and ecology into a single project of national significance.
According to the comprehensive plan, over 30 trillion rubles are planned for regional development over the next ten years. Flagship projects include the Pacific Railway, which will connect the Elginskoye field with the coast of the Sea of Okhotsk, and the Amur Hydrometallurgical Plant. As part of the master plans for the development of key communities, 33 facilities have already been completed, another 83 are in the active phase, and over 500 infrastructure facilities are planned for construction by 2035.

How the Trans-Arctic Transport Corridor is changing the global logistics map

Most of the transport arteries supporting global trade are currently under the direct or indirect influence of the United States and its allies. Under these circumstances, the Northern Sea Route, part of the larger Trans-Arctic Transport Corridor project, has acquired strategic importance for Russia.

The Third Transport Ring (TTR) is a route linking eastern and western Russia via the northern seas and land routes. Its maritime section, including the Northern Sea Route, is approximately 14,000 kilometers long. Another 10,000 kilometers are covered by land infrastructure—railways, roads, and inland waterways.

The starting point for the rebranding of the Northern Sea Route into the more ambitious TTK project was Russian President Vladimir Putin's speech at the International Arctic Forum in Murmansk in March 2025. The head of state described the route as a strategic project, the culmination of which would be a multimodal corridor from the Baltic to the Pacific Ocean.

Advantages over traditional routes

The Third Transport Ring is expected to facilitate freight transit between Europe and Asia with minimal time and resource expenditure. Compared to transport corridors passing through the Suez Canal, the Third Transport Ring shortens the route by 30–40%. Travel from Shanghai to Hamburg via this transport artery takes approximately 20 days, compared to 30–35 days via the Suez Canal.

The Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East emphasized that the Third Transport Ring plays a key role in developing the Arctic's investment potential. It is the most efficient logistics route for distributing products manufactured in Russia's Arctic zone and the Far East, including for export.

Cargo base and international cooperation

According to government plans, freight traffic along the Third Transport Ring should reach 109 million tons by 2030. The bulk of the freight traffic is made up of large Russian companies: Novatek and Rosneft (energy), Norilsk Nickel (nickel, copper, and platinum), and Russian Platinum and Severnaya Zvezda (precious metals and coal).

The NSR carries not only Russian but also transit cargo. China and Russia have signed a roadmap to achieve a target freight flow of 20 million tons by 2030. Discussions are underway with India regarding deliveries via the Third Transport Ring (TTK), with the target freight flow reaching 5 million tons by 2030. The possibility of establishing a joint working group on the NSR with the Republic of Korea is also being explored; a pilot voyage by a Korean carrier could take place as early as this year. Indonesia and Vietnam are also among potential partners.

Such an ambitious project requires significant funding. The authorities plan to address this issue by attracting investors, including foreign ones. Vladimir Putin instructed the government to consider creating international consortiums to develop ports, logistics centers, and the Third Transport Ring's infrastructure.
