Sane American (Eli the Computer Guy) talks about the current state of the US-China technological Competition when it comes to AI with a focus on Anthropic:

Anthropic AI Supports Anti Chinese Export Controls - US Punishes China for Success

TL;DR/DW:

Eli criticizes the short-sighted knee-jerk behavior on part of the far-right US establishment and companies such as Anthropic.

He discusses and highlights the supremacist, partially racist and grossly absurd behavior of these groups when dealing with China and AI development with wit, sarcasm and frustration.

Unlike many followers in the tech field that just regurgitate neocon/neolib regime talking points because they do follow or understand geopolitics, Eli seems to be aware of dynamics inside and outside the US.

IMHO, he is worth a watch for sane and more honest commentary about the US and the world around it.

On a side note, NVIDIA seems to have countered Anthropic's supremacist idea to suppress Chinese AI advancement.

They really should have some prelims before actual competition unlike the marathon. I get that the aim is to encourage tech development in country, but we shouldn't have a repeat of the marathon where amateurs and their prototypes were broadcasted to the whole world.
