RIP Nelson Mandela

Mandela could have odered the seizing of white property, the stripping of the rights and citizenship of white south Africans, but he didn't. He turned and embraced them as brothers. Rather then impose apartheid in the reverse; he granted universal rights. Rather then build a black South Africa. He decided to build South Africa.
Their is a time to fight and a time for peace he recognized this.

That's because they tried in Zimbabwe and failed miserably.

They were happening at the same time.

Rest easy. But I think this is a day for celebration - we should party to remember his spirit, his legacy and to thank him.

SERIOUSLY? I read a few sentences and knew this is just one sided anti-Mandela rhetoric. Sure the article has their views and opinions, but it doesn't make them right in the end. I found it funny that the article didn't mentioned about the millions of Black SA sufferings under Apartheid for so many years.

Take notice of the flag in one of the photo in that "article". Doesn't it look similar but not quite the same as another more well know flag? Is there anything more cowardly in the world than closet Nazis?

That site is a known bigoted, white supremist site that promotes racism and anti-semitic activity. It tries to do so ina a so-called "scholarly" manner, but a horse by any other color is still a horse.

Lets move on gents and pay our respect to Nelson Mandela. My condolences go out to the Nation of South Africa.

Those are US Presidents from the last 35 years.

A just man knows when to take up the sword, and when to lay it down.

Nelson Mandela was such a man.

Another man spoke of conciliation and peace between the peoples. The difference between Mugabe and Mandela was that Mandela delivered - and he stepped down after one term.

South Africa today has many problems from poverty to disease to crime, but that is the birthing pangs of a new society. We look to her future with hope and optimism.

Hopefully he looked back at his life's work with a sense of well-deserved satisfaction, before he passed away. At the age of 95, surrounded by family and looking back to a life where one stood up for one's principles - and won, and seeing one's life's work, if not entirely fulfilled, then well on its way to being so, if we should all be so lucky.

We are all sparks in the darkness, would that we could shine as brightly.
