regarding the recently executed spies in China

My error for not being clear, but the points I've discussed in my last post all deal with missile design.

Although I want it to be true, I kind of doubt that the TEL's can just go to any random spot and launch their missile.

Of course, there will be pre-prepared launch locations. However, the number of such launch locations is probably in the hundreds. Given the possible targets, the number of possible trajectories will thus lie in the thousands.

It can't, and even if they did know the exact trajectory of each warhead, the technical aspects of intercepting a hypersonic object is still difficult. There is really nothing cutting edge about the Chinese design that the US would not already be aware off.

Well, just last week the west was complaining that China was going to execute a spy, and then made more complains after the spy was dead. :roll:

lol did China REALLY steal the w-88 tech? cuz there isnt really any indication that its being applied to any of its current missiles. i mean you cant actually PROVE that China copied the technology and put it on DF-31 since its still a single warhead missile.
besides if China did steal the design did the americans manage to catch the guys who were responsible?

Well, in the United States, spys/accomplices accused of esipionage or leaking of state secrets are given open trials.

Well, quite a bit of controversy was stirred up but no one really knows if the Chinese were able to actually acquire the missile designs. If the Chinese did have the design, they wouldn't necessarily have to reverse engineer or copy it (and doing so would be rather hard, since the design itself is only a small part of the developmental process), but rather utilize aspects or principles of the design in future Chinese designs. However, the fact that the Chinese had a lot more to gain by gaining the design of the W-88 than the US would have of the DF-31.

By the way, the DF-31A has been speculated to be MIRVed.
