Jeff, I know that you like models and have been building a lot of models but they are all static ones. Why not trying some models with engines?
Too expensive...and I would never be able to afford, or have the time to build, the variety that I do.

In addition to that...if you go into RC, then in order to have the detail and size (particularly in ships) that I do, not only are they very expensive...and time consuming if I build them...if they crash, you lose a lot of money and time.

So, I stick with the static displays...and do add some electronics to the larger ships, like the Enterprise CVN-65, or the Iwo Jima, LHD. On the carriers, I light the hanger decks, on the Iwo Jima, I lit the hanger deck, the well deck, and the vehicle deck!

Now this guy (whom I have corresponded with), Duncan Cameron, feels differently with his 1/24 scale, manned HMS Invincible!

But a project like that literally took him 15 years to complete!

You mean like remote control RC models?o_O

Yes, RC (remote control) models. I recently get involved in RC tanks. Like Jeff said, they are expensive, if you buy a set of Tamiya 1:16 rc tank kit, it may cost you something nearly $1000. I stick with cheap models, and buy parts and components to upgrade them. Further, I get involved with tanks only, no ship, no airplane.
