I wonder what this part is. It seems to be secured by these two pins

I think it's a steel piece to protect the aluminum alloy receiver from impact from the bolt carrier. As the gas piston strikes the "tomb stone" on the BC, it generates a moment, lifting the front end of the BC up. Over time this upward impact can wear down the receiver if it's only aluminum.

Most common firearms are not hard to clean/maintain, unless you're a total idiot which you should never qualified to carry a piece, even in Texas.
I was surprised that the commercial cleaning solution more or less did all the work.

I remember cleaning weapons for hours back in the day in the platoon bay. Dental picks, Q-tips for hours, even with a solvent tray. Then again, maybe we were just subconsciously enjoying the banter while bitching at the extended hours.

The QBV191 has a more bent mag compared to the QBZ191, unless its not using the same catridge as the QBZ191

The magazine of the QBV191 looks the same as QBZ191 to me.

Do you have any particular pictures you think that show a difference?

Just looked above it you can see the QBZ191 mag is different to the QBV191 might just be different angle?

It's just the angle. There is no reason it would have a 5.56 version so soon anyways.

It's also being held up by a bipod as well as the sheet saying 5.8mm.

It's just the angle.

The QBZ191 is mounted flat on the wall, while the QBV191 is standing on an angle relative to it on the table.

All the previous pictures of both weapons show they use the same magazines, and are both 5.8mm, so there's no reason to suspect why they would be different here.
