My guess would be 雷神突击队 , usually the get to test around the new toys ,and a suppresser is a new thing for PLA.
I remember seeing the patent for qbz191's muzzle device somewhere in this thread, and imo it did mention having the capabilities to attach suppressors. I guess the suppressor has always meant to be at least a optional part of the system, and personally I wouldn't be surprised to see them popping up more and more in the PLA.

The PLA consensus about small arms are quite old school , and a suppressor is an expensive item so I think it is unlikely in the near future.
The old guards were convinced only in this decade that wide scale adoption of body armor is a must.
The smallest gap between PLA and US army is in gear , the biggest is in mindset.

DMR variant with suppressor, lasers, etc. Not sure if these are paratroopers or Air Force special forces.

That’s a lot of weight on the muzzle! My dude might regret all that bling when he isn’t using the bipod.

I would be stripped off the vertical grip and switching the white light, laser unit and IR illuminator to a 3-in-1 unit.

Yes, you loose some capability compared to dedicated units, but for DMR, that hardly seems like it will matter as he shouldn’t be close enough to the action to need most of that stuff anyways.

The most useful night fighting accessory he should need for his role is a good NV front clip on sight for his scope, and maybe a thermal clip on as well. But the way he is running his wires makes me think he doesn’t have any clip on night vision gear.

I'm not sure if that's a vertical grip, looks more like the front part of the sling instead.

A 3 in 1 unit would be better, but I feel like the PLA has not bought any such systems yet.

Hopefully that's just a pose picture and not an actual loadout.

Indeed, if it's DMR mission, everything except the laser designator and bipod can be unloaded from that setup.
