Two more years of this nightmare in the White House... This follows Obama's 60 Minutes interview of the same theme bragging about American exceptionalism and being indispensable. Now he's bragging about Ebola? Just like China being a free rider in Iraq because we all know how much of a utopia Iraq is now because of the US to allow China to business there. Has he controlled the spread of Ebola? Has he stopped Ebola? Expect to hear this nonsense more. It's clear these are talking points he's passed to every department.

Indeed, but I believe that this is because politicians have come to realize that, at least in this day and age, polarization means more votes. More often than not, it's not the majority that wins elections, it's the vocal and motivated minority.
Effective 1 November 2014 I will close all political threads and leave links to other forums that permit unabated political discussion.
Here's the first one;
Our SDF forum is a private entity and we can set the rules as we see fit. And one of them is no politics.
It is my experience in over nine years in this forum that political discussion just brings out the worst in our fine well intentioned members.

This morning I'm closing several threads laced with political discussion. Where as we do not allow political discussion in this forum. Political discussion brings out the worst in people in my opinion...Lies, hate squabbling discourse & contention.
Some of you may ask why...here is why. I sent this email to WebMaster nine years ago.
A thread on my email was established in the mod forum and after that discussion politics was squashed in this forum. Yes, it's old and the World has changed so has this forum..however I see the same things creeping in as they did nine years ago.
There are many other forums online that allow political discussion. Use them if you wish to discuss politics.
