and it wasn't easy to get 'household wife' recorded in an ID

I just want to add that gender equality was already officially promoted at the time of China's first Republican government and was part of Sun Yat Sen's ideals for a modern China.

It's important to note that the problem comes from people buying into sexist thinking, despite the government promoting gender equality.
