There will probably be lots of heat generated for a rail/coilgun running high amps. It can be a simple ventilation outlet:

sorry if I missed something again , but what's known about "a short trip to the sea" (where? how long?).
it's easier to test fire somewhere near wuhan smooth river waters instead of a sea.
any army artillery range with instrumentation system and targets nearby?
upon return they seem to be busy with the ... barrel, right? change it? fix it?
