Positive YouTube channels on China

I've just remembered this thread exists.

Does anyone actually like this thread? Because frankly it seems a little bit sad, as if people here need validation from youtube videos that are "positive about China" for a minor hit of serotonin.

Alternatively, renaming the thread to something else ("informative videos about China" idk) would be a bit less cringe but I'm half tempted to simply stop it overall.

1. This thread is already over 50 pages long, which kind of means it is a legit thread.

2. The title of the thread, could be suggestive, either it is propaganda or counter propaganda, or it just merely presents what it intends to presents, a positive view of things. In fact, we might not really even know why such a thread exists. Such mystery kind of adds value to the forum IMHO. Hehe.

3. Seems to me this thread is mostly about videos from China, and not necessarily only positive videos from China.

This video below, is more in tune with the title of the thread.

I think it is okay.

People are happy in these videos. Given the blood flowing in copious amounts elsewhere, if someone is happy today here, let them be happy.

Maybe unpopular opinion, I secretly believe a lot of those youtubers who visit China and praise China were somehow compensated by Chinese gov, I think those videos aren't worth posting on here. Some youtubers have an online chinese presence and monetize their Chinese fan base, those vloggers probably don't deserve to be posted here also.

But there are some genuine vloggers who do share their life and/or opinions on China and their views are very interesting. I don't check out their content for validation, rather to see how other cultures genuinely view China/Chinese. Renaming this thread would be a better idea.

I don't believe, but it's easier to get clicks from over a billion Chinese. Jerry's Take on China is probably funded though, but a well-deserved one as his reports are well-researched, factual and rational.

I am sticking this video here, because of two reasons. I am too lazy to find the proper thread, and this seems too specialized to stick it into the general news thread.

So at least we have another option to stick videos from China into this thread.

That is my intention. We do not need to read anything further.

I think most of us who visit this thread, just want to watch some video, any cultural or political statement, real or imagined, that usually is a distant secondary thought.

Hey! I am drunk, and just want to watch something. Hehe! Hee-Haw!

:p

You know, whatever they were trying to do, as of today, that is in complete shambles.

That is just being objective.
