The 2nd and 3rd photo show the monument erected that documents the establishment of Sansha city and the map of South China Sea. the 4th photo show an old terra-forming ship operating in the civilian dock, and the last photos are just some great views around the island.

Guys, this is a Chinese SCS Base/Island Thread not a Strategy Page.

It is also not a page about Chinese ELINT vessels off of Hawaii.

From SeaWaves Magazine today:
March 03, 2016 - The Philippines and the US have accused China of using navy to threaten fishing vessels in the East Sea.
The Philippine authorities reported on March 2 that China had sent its ships to a coral island in the East Sea, preventing Filipino fishing boats.
Foreign Secretary Albert del Rosario said the Chinese coast guard ships were gone when the Philippine government patrolled the area.

Can't even keep their own story straight.

Headline says Chinese navy, but only coast guard ships are mentioned when describing the incident in detail.

Also, they are playing this up like its a land grab, when in fact it's pretty much the exact opposite, since all China did was tow away another ship that the Philippines ran aground before they could put marines on it.

After the grounded ship was removed, the Chinese ships also withdrew.

Funny how no one is focusing on that and it's just being slipped in at the end as an aside hoping few people would notice.
