well, it's stated on huitong that SA-N-12 is used, but who really knows. They look the same. Although I do think that 052Bs will get HQ-16 once that comes out.

i just wonder how much upgrade potential chinas new vessels have. they are perfect now, but later...hope thay can put hq-16 on. is it a shtill varient being developed right now?

its tough to tell a gadfly and grizzly aprt just by looking at it...we need an expert.

according to the missile defense sites I went to, it's an upgrade over Grizzly. Supposedly, it will have a range of 50KM. Which is pretty good for medium range SAM.
