There is no confirmation of this at all. In fact, given the pictures and the explanation, it seems very highly unlikely. In shallow water while under tow. No marritime warning issued. No indication of damage consistant with a missile strike.

There is no denial either. There is no photo of the damage so can't tell either way

Why would they install radar reflector in order to sink it ? Mystery or strategic ambiguity?
