Oh really hope you are well, CT scans are very very useful today wether on the battlefield, car accident or any health issue a CT will reveal all they can produce a slice by slice image and show a 3D image of what's exactly going on and where like for example blood clots or tumours

This is why when soldiers are injured on the battlefield we are talking minutes by the time a CT scan is done to assess the damage and save the life everyone on the battlefield uses them now it's the first thing they do after stabilising the patient the quicker you scan the quicker you identify the problem the quicker you can fix it

Only problem is it's a expensive scan to run and costs a lot to run these machines but it's good to see such a machine onboard a PLAN hospital ship the medical treatment on that ship looks good
Thank you. It seems it was a false alarm. I was most impressed by the short time needed to look into me and then it took about twice as long to calculate the pictures and to check that the machine had worked as intended.

Well, I can tell you they certainly made the difference in my own cancer.

Between CT scans, particularly with contrast, and MRIs with contrast, they were able to make a real time, very exacting model which enabled them to do very precise micro and nuero surgery (my cancer is very rare and does not respond to chemo or normal radiation and had to be out out). Those instruments literally saved my life and allowed them to perform radical surgery that would have ben impossible only a few years before.

Three major surgeries, each with fiver surgical teams, he shortest was over 12 hours, the longest was 21 hours.

Now, every year I get a couple of MRIs and CTs to make sure things are not returning...and to catch I early if it does. In the six months I was down in Houston I bet I had 2 or more CT scans and MRIs.

Delft, glad to hear that your condition was not serious.

I'm happy both Jeff and Delft are doing well.

These photos are by Marco Garcia. He's what you call a stringer photographer. They are OUTSTANDING! I truly enjoy seeing the absolutely pristine condition of the PLAN ships. The ships are OUTSTANDING! .Every navy on Earth can take a lesson on the PLAN method of keeping a ship "Squared Away".

I can't be sure but I believe the first guy serve in the JGSDF not the JMSDF since his rank insignia are for JGSDF.

Here is a page showing the ranks and insignia divided by Ground, Marine and Air respectively.

JMSDF officers gains a sakura blossom from lieutenant up to Captain shown within the middle grouping of the page.
From the picture I believe the first guy is a lieutenant first class(2尉) the second guy is a Petty officer first class.
You can also identify they are in different arms through the difference in the fatigue they are wearing.

According to the reports the tour around Peace Ark was a great one with lots of helpfull Chinese sailors aboard and walking around the ship was pretty easy. Aboard Haikou the atmosphere wasn't so friendly and you could only take photos in limited areas and you couldn't talk to anyone...
