Oh really hope you are well, CT scans are very very useful today wether on the battlefield, car accident or any health issue a CT will reveal all they can produce a slice by slice image and show a 3D image of what's exactly going on and where like for example blood clots or tumours
Only problem is it's a expensive scan to run and costs a lot to run these machines but it's good to see such a machine onboard a PLAN hospital ship the medical treatment on that ship looks good
Well, I can tell you they certainly made the difference in my own cancer.
Between CT scans, particularly with contrast, and MRIs with contrast, they were able to make a real time, very exacting model which enabled them to do very precise micro and nuero surgery (my cancer is very rare and does not respond to chemo or normal radiation and had to be out out). Those instruments literally saved my life and allowed them to perform radical surgery that would have ben impossible only a few years before.
Three major surgeries, each with fiver surgical teams, he shortest was over 12 hours, the longest was 21 hours.
Now, every year I get a couple of MRIs and CTs to make sure things are not returning...and to catch I early if it does. In the six months I was down in Houston I bet I had 2 or more CT scans and MRIs.
Delft, glad to hear that your condition was not serious.
